Song of the Week #54: Our Lady Peace "All You Did Was Save My Life"
This week we head back to Canada!

The new Our Lady Peace record hits streets next week and if you’re in Canada (which some of you are lucky enough to be) you can hear the full length stream at inMusic.ca (not available for us below the border though – what’s up with that??).

For now, all of us in the U.S. have only this great little cut. A solid first single (not their best song ever – see below for more), but a great urgent, driving cut that they specialize in.

Check out the live footage below as they are really intense live. I’ve never actually seen them, but they come across so on DVD, and I heard them a number of years back at a mini-festival show as Jeff and I were chatting with the boys from The Cult. After their set in catering I could have gone up to lead singer Raine Maida and said hello, but at that time I was more familiar with his wife’s work, Chantal Kreviazuk, and telling him how great his wife was would have just been weird. Of course, when I had the wonderful chance to hang out with Chantal for an hour or so a couple years ago I did bring up Raine and we chatted about his solo album, what a great dad his is, etc.
